Area malls begin process of reopening, with some offering curbside pickup
Perhaps no businesses have been affected more by the coronavirus are the regions malls.
Already a business model that sees plenty of vacancies and struggles, having to shut down for weeks, perhaps months, wasn’t a welcome sight financially.
Several other area malls are beginning to offer curbside pickup as well. The Westland Shopping Center recently announced it would offer curbside pickup from the mall at 35000 Warren.
“We encourage all merchants to reopen their locations at our properties which will allow for a restart of business operation,” reads a letter from the mall’s parent company, Namdar Realty Group. “Namdar Realty Group will continue to monitor the situation closely and ensure compliance with all state regulations and government decrees.”
